| Description : | Continuing Sub Rosa's exploration of the undiscovered regions of world music, 'Tzotziles' concentrates on a community in Mexico of the same name and works as a study of this group of people. The disc is almost like a historical aural document, something we can listen to and get a real look into a community and how it works, whether it's the day of the dead (which is here in full) to prayers and folk music. The music itself ranges from Celtic-sounding folk to unusual tribal drumming, flute bleats and trumpet squelches - at times sounding like a lost Rune Grammofon album!
