| Description : | San Diego's prolific GOGOGO AIRHEART released their first album in 1997 on Vinyl Communications (VC 122). Pressed on CD only, the self-titled recording made a few ripples in the 'indie-rock' pool, but went largely unnoticed until the release of subsequent GGGAH recordings, years later. Now, GSL is happy to announce the long-awaited re-release of the first album, completely remastered for vinyl. Subtitled Produced by The Spacewurm, the record is as much of a collaborative production effort between the band and San Diego noise terrorist SPACEWURM as it is the result of their own unique song writing process. Far more rooted in the electronic realm of KRAFTWERK than perhaps any other GOGOGO release, 'First LP' stands alone as a groundbreaking recording, as complete and coherent a work as the band's other albums. GOGOGO AIRHEART are often compared to GANG OF FOUR, THE POP GROUP, and strangely, THE MAKE UP. New cover art by vocalist Mike Vermilion includes a slick 4-color jacket. Available on vinyl ONLY for the time being from GSL — the CD is still available from VC. | |
